FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q). How much do you charge?

A). Lux Law will give you a Fixed price; you can rest assured that there will be no nasty add-ons, the Fixed price will be the price.

Q). Which areas of law does Lux Law cover?

A).  We specialise in the areas of law shown in the Services section of our Home page. We want to provide a really good Conveyancing service at a sensible fixed price enabling you to sell or buy a property with the minimum of fuss. Similarly the Wills and Administration of Estates is undertaken with our experience and capabilities. Rather than spread ourselves too thinly we prefer to specialise and to recommend other Lawyers for specific areas of work that we do not choose to cover.

Q). Do you do legal aid work?

A). We don’t deal with areas of law that qualify for Legal Aid funding.

Q). Why do we need to provide Identification?

A). Unfortunately there are those who want to “launder” money from the proceeds of crime or carry out some form of fraud. We take great care to make sure that we have appropriate Identification to help counter these activities and to protect bona fide clients. We also take great care to store your ID appropriately and securely.

Q). What ID must I provide?

A). We will require:

•A valid passport or Photo driving Licence.

•A utility bill, no older than 3 months, addressed to you at your home address.

Q). What if I am not happy with the service I receive?

A).  Whilst we believe we provide a good service we know that in the best run businesses there are occasions when expectations are not fully met.

We have a complaints procedure which will be provided to you.  We are fully regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and carry insurance for claims up to £3 million.

We will also provide you with our terms and conditions upon instructions received from you.
